Finished 50's diner poster

quick fun sketch

I can see some major problems , but I'm glad I did this.  I need to continue to force myself to use type and commercial design.

#85 Sketchbook nonsense

I've been wondering to do with my sketchbook pages...an art tumblr might be a good choice.  I'm just so lazy about it. Consolidating on my blog seems like the easiest way to go lol.  The only problem being, it's not as accessible as tumblr or facebook... Oh well!  I will get on it eventually here and definitely make a website.  When that happens, you all will be the first to know  :)

#84 Christian Bale and other digital things

Pretty happy with how it turned out

It was a pretty fun project! I'm going to draw other silly celebrity portraits in future, definitely.  More of them being traditional probably...but Photoshop painting is still pretty nice.

Here's some landscapes out of my head as an exercise in class.  We weren't supposed to use any reference of any kind...although most people did anyway... I don't understand why these people are in art school!!  Get those creative juices.

I'm redoing the "Dapper Dan" project in Illustrator, and I must say, it's taking forever.  Well... at least it's clean! CLEAN LINES SO CLEAN.  Gonna be worth the time working on this sucker so it's likely I'm giong to be hiding away for the next few days in my art cave.

#83 an IN-BETWEEN

Some Graphic designs...

Guess what- digital painting!

Some linework.  I hope it would be obvious who this is supposed to be!

Here's some other sketches I thought I should add, if only to freak you out.

scary.

I guess I'm going to go for a kind of cartoony/semi-realistic style (keeping it very graphic). Pretty excited about this project... now if I can just figure out photoshop.

Also here's my dapper dans all render-y.  Still not close to being done.  Going to go over it traditionally and see how that goes.

#82 Dapper Dans

Dapper Dans greaser concept draft 1.  What a fun project, gonna be fun developing the gang more.

The idea was to create a gang of shapes and personalities. A good example would be like Foster's home for imaginary friends.

If you have any name ideas or comments... comment!

#81 Finished Hitler Rabbit (or pretty damn close)

#80 sketches/Greaser gang

ughh horrible camera right now, sorry.

I'm doing a shape oriented character project.  These guys are greasers, whipped them up real fast for class yesterday.  Haven't named them or the group name yet, but at least they have some character!

colors for no reason!
